TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All transactions are processed in Australian Dollars

Delivery on Weekdays

From Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays), customer online orders that are scheduled BEFORE 12:00 pm for business deliveries and BEFORE 1:00 pm for residential deliveries can usually be delivered on the same day. However, we regret to say that we cannot guarantee specific delivery times. We will strive to the best of our abilities and scheduling to fulfill customer needs and requirements, but cannot promise to guarantee them.

Delivery on Saturday

Deliveries on a Saturday are available, however we must request that the order be placed BEFORE 11am.

Delivery for Sunday or Public Holidays

We regret to inform you that Sunday (with the exception of Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day) or Public Holiday deliveries are not available. Deliveries that are placed on these days will be automatically transferred to a delivery date on the NEXT business day.

Urgent Delivery Requests

If you require urgent delivery on a Business Day (for example, the order is placed after the above times and requires a delivery on the same day of order) please call us (The Flower Shed 03 96899927) during our business hours of Monday to Friday and notify us of this requirement.
We must also note that additional delivery charges will apply in the case of this kind of delivery request.

If our customers require urgent delivery during a Saturday, Sunday or Public Holiday, it is requested that customers contact us PRIOR to placing the orders, as this ensures that delivery times are suitable for both our florist, and for our customer.

Special Delivery Instructions

Specific delivery times may be requested for orders however The Flower Shed CANNOT unfortunately guarantee that it may be accomplished unless prior arrangements have been made with one of our main staff members. It must be informed that some special delivery requests may require additional fees. In the case where arrangements have not been made with a staff member, we will still make every effort fulfil the request and satisfy our customers.

For Funeral services we request that customers contact us beforehand or discuss important details with us at the time of order so that conditions will be suitable.

Flower Quality

Special Event Ordering Information and Flower Quality;

Orders that are placed LESS than 24 hours before a significant event will be labelled as an ‘open order’. This means that flowers that are not available at the time of this kind of order will be substituted with different flowers in order to fulfil the requirements of the order. The Flower Shed will put in our best effort and work to the best of our abilities to satisfy the customer and the order. However, although we will try to make the order as similar to the original product as possible, this is something that cannot be guaranteed.

Orders placed after 10am the day previous to the day of delivery, will be classified and labelled as and ‘open order’.

Returns and refunds

The Flower Shed guarantees that we will strive to the best of our ability to deliver to our prized customers the most fresh and beautiful flowers possible. We do not aim to just please our customers, but to present to them the most stunning flowers that will delight and bring smiles to their faces.

You can generally expect your flowers to last from 4 -7 days provided they are cared for correctly.
5 main steps will help your flowers to last as long as possible:

1. Stems should be cut on an angle (in or under running water if possible) as soon as you receive the flowers
2. Ensure the vase that is used is clean and filled with fresh water
3. Always keep an eye on the water levels and change the water completely every two days
4. Keep the flowers out of direct sunlight
5. Keep the flowers away from drafts and air-conditioning

If you feel the flowers have not lasted for at least three days let us know within this time by calling +61 3 9689 9927. Once we are confident that they have been cared for as recommended, we will happy replace the flowers.

Please note that we may firstly request a photo of the flowers and can only replace them if we are able to pick up the old flowers at the same time as we deliver the replacements.

The flowers that we have here at The Flower Shed are both fresh and of the best possible quality that is of the highest quality. We promise to our customers that only the best flowers make it in our arrangements, and it is a promise that we will no doubt keep with pride and heart.

We request of our customers to provide us with a valid phone number and e-mail address when they are placing orders. This allows us to contact you in times of mishaps, or when we have any queries or concerns.

The privacy of all our customers is kept confidential.

We welcome and encourage any concerns, questions, and queries that our customers may have regarding their orders and purchase.

Attention to Detail- What You Have Ordered

Because of seasonal changes that effect in the availability of our flowers and products, the flowers and arrangements that are displayed on our website may vary slightly in form and design. If a particular flower, product, wrapper, or container is unavailable; The Flower Shed will gladly exchange it for a similar variation of good quality and value.

Cancellation of an Order

We must note that all cancellations that occur after an order will be charged with a cancellation fee.

After an order, cancellations that are received LESS THAN 24 HOURS before the due date of the delivery is charged a fee of 50% of the total order value.

After an order, cancellations that are received MORE THAN 24 HOURS before the due date of the delivery is a $15 administration fee.

Regrettably, orders that are already made and prepared, or on the way to delivery, are unable to be cancelled.

Incorrect Delivery Address

In the case that an incorrect address is applied, it must be stated that The Flower Shed is not held responsible. To prevent this from happening, we request of our customers to enter all correct details at the time of ordering so that the chances of mishaps occurring is significantly lessened.

Gifts which include Alcohol and Liquor

A variety of gifts and hampers are available with our flower arrangements, and in these there may be alcohol that is delivered with them. Our alcohol comes genuinely with our gifts and hampers, and is not to be sold separately. Our bottles of alcohol do not exceed 2 litres.

The Liquor Control Act 1998 states that a person under 18 years of age is not to be sold or supplies with alcohol. Because of this, gifts and hampers that include alcohol cannot be delivered to or accepted by a purchaser that is under 18 years of age; our gifts and hampers also cannot be left on premises without an adult available to receive the gift and hamper.

Gifts must be delivered between the hours of 9am and 9pm.

If the Recipient is not Home

We request that our customers are able to be home or place of delivery on the day that the flowers are delivered. We ask that dates and times are checked beforehand to guarantee this.

If no one is there to accept our delivery, our driver will leave the gift if he/ she sees fit that it is safe to do so. However, if our driver deems it inappropriate or unsafe, we will leave our calling card and so our best to deliver the gift to the agreed address the next day; although it should be noted that if this is to occur, an additional delivery fee may be charged.

Overseas and Interstate Rural Deliveries

We ask customers to please note that we are restricted to deliveries in certain areas, and address and placement of deliveries must be discussed first beforehand. Deliveries to areas beyond our areas of restriction may incur an additional delivery charge.

Product Substitution

At The Flower Shed, we aim to always try our best to deliver an exact replica of whichever product has been advertised on our website. However, we must announce in advance that flowers, plants, wrapping and containers are subject to change depending on the seasons and time of year, as well as the availability at the time of order and delivery.

In the case that the product or flower is unavailable, we will try our paramount best to substitute the product or flower with a close resemblance or other product/ flower that complements the image on the website.

This policy applies to all deliveries and orders, and we reserve the right to substitute goods of equal or greater value.

Complaints

ANY COMPLAINTS MUST BE MADE WITHIN 36 HOURS OF DELIVERY SO THAT WE ARE ABLE TO ENSURE THE BEST POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM AND YOUR DISSATISFACTION.
